I believe in public service and hold myself to a high ethical standard. I promise to represent our city with dignity both inside and outside of City Hall.
Accountability:
If elected I will fulfill the oath of office and carry out my duties as Commissioner of Accounts.
This November, I respectfully ask for your vote so we can build a City Hall that works with—and for—the people of Saratoga Springs.

- Why I'm Running -
a letter from Jess
"Saratoga Springs is a place I chose—and have been proud to call home for over 30 years. Like so many of you, I was drawn here by the charm of our city, the strength of our community, and the idea of a good life for my family. I’m now running for Commissioner of Accounts because I believe our city deserves leadership that reflects those same values: responsibility, respect, and results.
My journey began in Hyde Park, continued through SUNY Potsdam, and led me to a career in counseling in Buffalo. But it was a summer visit to Saratoga that changed everything. I saw a city alive with culture, community, and opportunity. Soon after, I made Saratoga Springs my home and built a career in photography, eventually expanding into home construction and renovation. As an entrepreneur and general contractor, I’ve learned firsthand how to navigate city permitting, insurance, licensing, and budgeting — and how frustrating those processes can be when the government is not able to function at its best. More than anything, I’ve come to believe that local government should serve the needs of the people it represents.
That’s why I’m stepping up now — at a time when too many residents feel like City Hall is no longer listening. The Commissioner of Accounts plays a crucial role in city operations, finance, licensing, and public records. This office should be a model of transparency, efficiency, and ethical leadership.
Recent years have brought controversy, costly lawsuits, and a breakdown of public trust. I believe we can do better — and I’m committed to proving that with action, not rhetoric.
If elected, I will bring professionalism and transparency to the Commissioner’s office. I will prioritize customer service, streamline processes for small businesses and homeowners, and ensure that every tax dollar is spent responsibly. I’ll work respectfully with every member of our city council and every resident, regardless of party, because good government begins with listening — and it succeeds through collaboration.
I’m proud to have the bipartisan support of the Saratoga Springs Republican Committee and One Saratoga parties. I’m running to represent everyone in Saratoga Springs — not a party, not a faction — but all of us who want a government that works and a city we can be proud of.
I hope to earn your trust, your support, and your vote this November. Let’s move forward together."
